Gaetano Gadda is one of the most famous makers from Mantua. He was a pupil of Stefano Scarampella and started working in Scarampella's workshop in 1919. Shortly after starting to work for this master, Scarampella began to have health problems so many of the violins made in the latter part of Scarampella's life were actually made by Gaetano Gadda. He is considered to be Stefano Scarampella's only true pupil and heir. This violin is well certified and sounds absolutely fabulous. The tone is powerful and will fill any hall.
